CROATIA, MONTENEGRO & SLOVENIA TOUR

9 NIGHTS/ 10 DAYS

 

DUBROVNIK APT –– DUBROVNIK – MONTENEGRO – KORCULA ISLAND – SPLIT – TROGIR – PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK – OPATIJA – POSTOJNA CAVE – BLED – BOHINJ – LJUBLJANA – ZAGREB – ZAGREB APT

 

DAY 1 : DUBROVNIK APT – DUBROVNIK

Arrival to Dubrovnik APT (via Munich, Vienna, Frankfurt, Istanbul, etc.). Meet your licensed English speaking guide, who will be at your disposal from the Day 1 till the Day 13. The over a thousand year old history of Dubrovnik, UNESCO World heritage site is visible in every part of this city. The city is a living museum and a live stage, and has an ideal connection between its historical past and the modern day. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

  

DAY 2 : OPTIONAL DAILY TRIP TO MONTENEGRO

After breakfast, you can decide for optional daily trip to Montenegro. Enjoy scenic drive through Kotor Bay. Visit Kotor, a city of traders and famous sailors, with many stories to tell and coastal resort Budva known for its pebble beaches with crystal-clear sea and mild climate to Dubrovnik.If you decide to stay in Dubrovnik, you will have many chances to go on beautiful beaches, bars, shopping in the old city and many more.

  

DAY 3 : DUBROVNIK – KORCULA ISLAND – SPLIT         

Continue your journey, following a route that meanders through the vineyards and valleys of the Peljesac Peninsula (which is only joined to the mainland by a thin sliver of land, to the town of Orebic. From there you will take the boat to the city of Korcula. Korcula, reputed to be the birthplace of Marco Polo and one of Croatia's many treasures, is an exquisite town which would be a crime not to visit. Afternoon drive to Split. Overnight Split.

 

DAY 4 : SPLIT – TROGIR - SIBENIK

Morning sightseeing of Split, a pre-historic city built by the Roman emperor Diocletian. You will visit Diocletian’s palace – one of the most preserved roman palaces, which is known to the world as a »still living palace«, as modern shops and citizens live and work inside the walls of the ancient palace complex. Your next stop is medieval Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and for the end of the day enjoy Sibenik, a gem in the Croatian Adriatic.

 

DAY 5 : SIBENIK – PLITVICE LAKES NP – OPATIJA 

After breakfast and check-out, drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park. This lush valley has 16 terraced lakes strung together by waterfalls and miles of pleasant plank walks. Walk along lush paths and wooden bridges, take a boat out on the still waters of Kozjak Lake and ride an electric train around the park. Drive to Opatija, a long tradition, luxury summer destination.

 

DAY 6 : OPATIJA – POSTOJNA – BLED

After breakfast drive to Postojna Cave, the biggest cave in Europe open to tourists. Ride on a miniature electric train through the fantastic underground world, enriched with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.  After the visit, proceed to Bled, where you will take a sightseeing tour of the emerald-green lake Bled, embark Bled’s typical ‘Pletna’ boat and ride to Bled Island. Visit Bled castle, and admire the beautiful Bled panorama from the castle terrace.

 

DAY 7 : BLED – BOHINJ 

In the Morning free time in Bled. Around noon you will visit Bohinj Lake with the lovely church of St. John. Taking a cable car railway to Vogel Mountain will give you an opportunity to admire a wonderful panoramic view onto Lake Bohinj and the surrounding Julian Alps. Overnight Bled.

  

DAY 8 : BLED – LJUBLJANA

After breakfast and check-out, morning drive to Ljubljana city, the Capital of Slovenia. It lies between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, in a basin where the Ljubljanica River flows into the Sava. Ljubljana has everything offered by a modern capital, while at the same time it has the surprisingly friendly and relaxed atmosphere of a smaller town.  Strolling the old town dotted with small shops, outdoor cafes and restaurants, we will see all the main sights of this lovely town. We will take the funicular to the medieval Ljubljana castle. Overnight Ljubljana.

 

DAY 9 : LJUBLJANA – ZAGREB 

Morning free for shopping in Ljubljana. Afternoon proceed to Croatia's capital, Springing up from two medieval settlements - Kaptol and Gradec, which form the core of the old Upper Town, it is a true Central European city and with the surrounding settlements it has about one million inhabitants. The old Baroque nucleus is woven from old stone streets and buildings, many churches, a magnificent cathedral with modern shops, cosy cafes and restaurants. Overnight Zagreb.

 

DAY 10 : ZAGREB – DEPARTURE ZAGREB APT

 After breakfast, free time till departure to the Zagreb airport.

Drive from Zagreb city to the airport for flight back (via Munich, Vienna, Frankfurt, Istanbul, etc.).
